2 Tomei(ive seen her recently and she is very good, although its a very limited role)
3 Smith(she is plying..welll.. Maggie Smith! but it again works pretty well)
4 Winslet(her least impressive nomination, but she was the heart of the film so...)
5 Connely(its one of the most forgotten and unnimpressive wins, i remember liking her, but i rewatched some clips and i dunno..)

3) Connelly (while I still love the film and Crowe's work, I do like her work a lot less; the fact that this is category fraud doesn't help things at all. Nevertheless, I still think it's a very good performance).

5) Smith (seems like an earlier version of her excellent work in Downton Abbey. You might like or love her, really not sure.)
I'm probably one of the very few people who think Connelly is actually supporting in A Beautiful Mind (although she is certainly borderline).
EliminaI love Smith's work in Downton Abbey, I have not seen her work in Gosford Park in quite a while so it will be fun to revisit her performance.
