I've only seen Gordon (who I thought was pretty good), and Locke who I find amazing even though I might consider her a co-lead.
Giuseppe: what are your thoughts on Christopher Abbott in James White?
RispondiEliminaAbbott - 4.5 (Actually bordering on a 5. Abbott, despite not being charming in a traditional sense, has an incredible amount of screen-presence and he's so raw and magnetic you almost can't take your eyes off him. He gives a terrific portrayal of his character's explosive personality, bringing the right sort of unpredictable energy to his performance which makes it all the more compelling. Most importantly though he shares a wonderful chemistry with the equally powerful Nixon and both actors realize the complexities of their characters' relationship perfectly. Abbott is very moving at portraying his shock and desperation over his mother's physical decay and the bathroom scene is one of the most affecting moments of the last few years. A rewatch could easily bump both him and Nixon up)

EliminaHe's so close to a 5, and really I think that when I'll rewatch the movie for Best Actor 2015 I'll upgrade him. What about Nixon?
EliminaShe showed her character's decay too well. Her scenes were really hard to watch at times.
